WaltzingMouse sketch

I finally made time again to join in the Waltzing Mouse sketch. Feels so much better to create things :) And if I don't spend forever choosing what papers or what images like I normally do, it doesn't have to even take TOO long lol :) I was able to make this card after I put the little ones in bed before Tomio and Leah even got back from their golf :) Anyway, this was the sketch for this week:
I like embossing, so this fun for me. I went with a rectangle instead of  a square though.

I've had Teeny Trees for awhile, but I haven't really gotten a chance to break it out much yet. I love it though :) So many fun images to choose from! I used one of my Sizzix embossing plates I got recently. I'm SO loving those!

I used some Basic Grey pattern paper for the top part. And I distressed the edges of  kraft panel. Another one the things I'm addicted to right now.

Ok, that's it for today. The kids and I are planning taking a picnic lunch to the park today after school, so we've got lots work on this morning.

Thanks so much stopping by!!

  1. Wonderful CAS design -love the single tree and great sentiment you used here! thanks for playing with the WMS sketch this week!

  2. So lovely with the patterned paper and the cool embossing folder! That tree image is darling how you featured it! Claire's sets have so many images that sometimes I forget to use them ALL! Thanks so much for inspiring me to go stamp with that one!

  3. What a beautiful card! I love the colors you chose and the sentiment is so heartfelt! Great job and thank you for playing along with the WMSC this week!

  4. Wow, Laura, this is so pretty. I love the simplicity and that was a great way to feature the Teeny Trees. Well done!
