chicken and dumplings :)

That's what we are having for dinner tonight :) The kids requested it, but seeing as it is one of my all time favorite foods, I'm not complaining :) We eat plenty of Japanese food, rice almost everyday really. But we still like our fair share of good old Southern food!

Card time. I did some heat embossing on this one. I pretty much always will heat emboss anything that I want to stamp in white. It comes up so nice and crisp, while just the ink is always just a little too...translucent maybe? The pretty butterflies are from Hero Arts.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! It's my birthday tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to spending the day with Tomio and the kids. Rumor has it he is taking me to Hard Rock Cafe :)

better.

I feel better. We actually made a trip to the doctor late last night, but fortunately I got some meds, and I am doing better. Pretty much took the day to rest. Glad that the kids could help out with things...guess that means they are all getting so big now :(

Haven't crafted in a few days. But I have this card I made a little bit ago. I heat embossed the flowers and the sentiment. I kind of liked how the background turned out :) All stamps are from Papertrey.

Thanks for stopping by!! I have some more rest to catch up on. I hope your week has started out a little bit calmer than mine :)

Friday, January 25

just a little.

We got some snow this morning. I think it actually snowed for about 15 minutes :) That was it, though. Not even raining or anything now. But the kids were still excited to see some snow :)

I've spent some time stamping this last week. Not as much as I'd like, but still some. And Tomio got my shelves up in my stamping room(!), I want to spend even more time there :) It is finally coming together I think. I love getting it all set up and organized.
Anyway, here is a card I made. Not sure how I feel about it honestly. I little too many patterns for me, but I decided to keep it anyway. I do like the colors :)

Thanks for stopping by!! We are about to go out to eat :) yay:)

I'm not sure...

where the weekend went?!?! It barely feels like we even had one.  I guess it's time to get back work. I'm not ready, but I'll just pretend I am :)

A bright card. Nice and cheery :) I love butterflies. These are from Sweet&Sassy stamps. They have matching dies too.

Okay--I'm off to get started on "my week". Hope you enjoyed your weekend!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm lucky....

enough to have stamping/scrapping room in our house here. When I found out we had to move, that was one of the things I thought might not get to have. So I am very thankful to still have one :) It's not the same as my old one though, so I am still working on it. It's coming along, though :) I spent some more time in there today, and had lots of fun :) Miss Emma even joined me and colored in a bunch stamps while I made cards.

Here is a card I made. I love the circle stamp set I used for the border. Really is so fun to use. I also really like the look of red and kraft together. (Confession--this is actually the second time I made this card. I completely finished it once, and flipped over the front panel to put adhesive on it....only there was ink left on my desk I got a huge ink spot on the front :( So I made the whole front panel again. Please tell I'm not the only one who has done that *~*)

Thanks for stopping by again today! Hope you are staying warm. While I kept hearing how cold it would be here in Kumamoto the winter has been surprisingly mild so far. yay:)

hmmm...

I guess it was little bit longer between posts than I hoped *~*. I'm still trying to get back in to the swing of things after the new year. Is it only me that takes this long??? I did manage to get the boys to the dentist though. No cavities~yay! But it looks like at least 3 out of 4 kids will need braces...we'll have to see how that works out. Hoping to make it in for some consults this week.
I have gotten a little stamping done though :) Really does make me happy.

I like how this one turned out. I feel like it has the right balance of simple, but not too plain. (does that make sense? lol) I really like the aqua and red combo too. I think all products I used here are from Papertrey.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having an awesome day :)

first post!

Of the new year :) Sorry it has been so long. We had 14 people at our house for last 10 days. It was definitely crazy :) The kids had such a blast playing with their cousins all during the holidays. I actually just got my Christmas decorations taken down last night. I think that is the first time I have left them up past the new year.

Anyway, it's a new year. Hoping to accomplish a few things.

I didn't make one thing over the holiday, but I have this card from before. I love this butterfly and use it often. It is from Clear Dollar stamps. Unfortunately, I think they are only making digital stamps now :(

Thanks for stopping by today!! I'm hoping to slowly get back into the swing of everyday things :)
