love

Fun to have some love cards every now and then :) Though I do think it is probably the kind I make the least often.... (maybe I should change that?)

I did some clear heat embossing, and used a really pretty set of stamps from Verve. Love the pretty frame image :)

I really like doing clear embossing on black. I really like the sentiment too. Such a nice clean font.

Okay--super short again. We are headed to the embassy tomorrow to deal with citizenship issues for our kids and my head is spinning. (Just can't wait for it to be done!)

Thanks for stopping by!!

simple...

again :) not too surprising, I'm sure.Today was one of those days that we just seemed to take awhile to get started. (Ever have one of those days?) Anyway, seeing as we are still playing catch up on our day, this will be short and sweet today.

Some damask, polka dots and a butterfly :) I like the pop of black from the sentiment too.

Yeah, and that's all for me today. Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Hope you have an awesome day :)

not quite enough...

I don't know about you, but the weekend was just not quite long enough this week... Somehow I did seem to manage to get the "musts" done though. And strangely enough, while I could use a little more time to get stuff done, I don't mind getting started with a new week...

Anyway, enough rambling lol. Here is  very simple card for today:

I used on of my favorite texture plates from Sizzix and some pretty stamps froim Wplus9. I used PTI's Rustic cream and Gina K's dark chocolate cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I'm off to get caught up on my sleep. 5:30 is just too early to get up....lol
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!

sunshine :)

We had a very chilly day here yesterday! Goodness, but now it seems to be back to sunny skies and warm weather today :) Spring is my favorite season, so I like to enjoy lots of "warm" days before it gets actually "hot" for summer.

Here's a sunshine-y card I made. (sorry for the awful lighting...) I thought it was cute to have the pearls be the sunshine. It took me awhile to decide where exactly to place the sentiments and to get it curved right. (that can be a little trickier than it seems...lol). Ended up with minimal stamping on this one.

Well, that's it for me today. I've got to work on the kids' school. Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Hope you have a very sunshine-y day!!

fun :)

Definitely having fun getting in some stamping and scrapping time  :)  I hadn't really touched anything new for a week or 2 maybe? Which is a long time for me. Tomio was even sweet about it.  I was working on a layout and asked what he wanted for lunch, he said don't worry about, work on your layout some more and we'll go out to eat <3<3 So I did :)

Anyway, I don't have photos of the layouts yet, but here is a card I made:

Simple, but I really like it :) Such a fun sentiment.( all stamps, inks and cardstock are from Papertrey today).

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you had a super relaxing weekend :)

You are so sweet.

Still trying to get back into things after Golden Week, birthdays and parties...Leah spent the night at Nana and Papa's last night, along with 3 of the girl cousins, for a "Fairy Party". They were still having an absolutely wonderful time when I left :)

Anyway, here is card I made. Used the Rosie Posie stamps and dies and  a little bit of pattern paper.

I really like the big sentiment, it's from PTI's Say It With Style.  That's another one of those sets that I thought I wouldn't need, but I am really loving :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! The weekend is here, and I am *hoping* to get some crafty time in today. yay :)

Tuesday, May 15

sorry for the long absence...

but the birthday went *very* well, despite strong winds at the park where we had it. Since it was a Lego-Batman party, the birthday boy dressed up in his Batman costume.

Miss Emma's birthday is 2 days before Levi's, so we do the parties together. We had it the park near Nana and Papa's house.

Diffusing the bombs that Joker hid :)

Rescuing Superman and Robin that were frozen by Mr. Freeze.

Leah with her mask:)

The cakes. I made them, Daddy decorated them. They choose what they wanted. This year it was carrot cake with cream cheese icing :)

Opened presents and ate cake at Nana's house.

Mama, can you open this?

They had tons of fun :) But that combined with our day at Disney Sea completely wore this Mama out. (pictures from Disney will be coming as soon). I'm hoping to get crafty again over the next couple of days :)

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you had as fun of a weekend as we did!!

Thursday, May 10

Extra quick.

Things are definitely still in Batman mode over. We've got masks, batarangs, water guns.... So I just thought I would pop in with an extra quick share.

This is from a little bit ago. One of the many butterfly cards I made with Beautiful Butterflies. Love how cheerful the bright colors are :) All the inks are my *faves*, the new Papertrey Ink inks. Really great coverage, bright pretty colors :)

And that's it for me :) Off to get a few more party things ready before I head off to bed. Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday~

well, actually it's a little bit early. Levi and Emma's birthdays are next week, and the party is this weekend. So, we are in party mode right now. It's all about Batman at the moment :) I love seeing how excited he gets about everything--definitely makes the prep worthwhile :)

Not a birthday card for my little peeps, but a birthday card nonetheless. Pretty simple--some heat embossing and some cream colored twine. I also used my scallop border punch which I hadn't pulled out in awhile. And, well, that's about it :) Oh, the stamps are from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope your week is going well. I'm off to cut out some bats :)

Saturday, May 5

a little sunshine...

Not here, though. We've been having thunder storms off and on all day. I don't mind since I'm inside, and I managed to get my laundry in off the line in time too :)

But it's always fun to get a little sunshine in the mail, right?  I really like this sun image from Wplus9.  The sentiment is actually a combination of ones from the pocket set the sun came with, and a sunflower set from Papertrey. The frame stamp is from Waltzing mouse. I've had it for awhile, but this one of the first cards I made with it that I actually liked.

I don't know how well you can see it, but I impressed it with the linen/canvas plate from Papertrey.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!!

A pub :)

I am so thrilled to have a had a few cards published lately :) I really like sharing them here, but  I often end up forgetting when it is okay to share them. This is one from CARDS February issue.

I really liked how this one turned out :) To be honest, the ones that get chosen aren't usually my favorites, so I was happy that one that I really liked was actually chosen. I used Papertrey's anniversary set from last year and  as sentiment from Verve. I punched the butterflies out of acetate and inked the edges with white Stazon for some definition. Finished off with some machine stitching.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Golden week is coming to an end here, but we have definitely been enjoying the time off. Tomio and I fixed up the boys' room today~yay! It looks SO much better now :)

Hope you have a wonderful day!!
